Louigi Verona Workshop

Preparing for LAC2010

The core of my audio setup these days is LADISH. Thanks to Nedko Arnaudov and his active work and responsiveness, I was able to get all the features and fixes required for a setup that complex.

Visually the setup is not that massive, but the difficult part about it is that it has Ardour, an application which in itself is a small session handler. That had created problems with LADISH and jack2, as you either had to allow automatic connections and it would create lots and lots of unnecessary wires which you would have to disconnect manually upon the loading of the project or else choose an option to ignore automatic connections, but then stopping a studio would crash everything, since Ardour would try to save and close or somehow tamper with the connections.

Anyway, Nedko managed to fix this over the weekend, so now it is not a problem anymore. Stopping such applications with the "ignore automatic connections" option in jack2 works fine.
